Depends on what criteria your judging , in respect to the 360's performance against [itself] it's not sinking , it's showing a steady improvment . In respect to it's performance against the PS3/Wii it is actualy [sinking] , it is no longer outselling the Wii neither is it outselling the PS3 anymore ( in terms of hardware ) therfore in comparison to where it was and where it is now it is indeed (negativley) sinking. Microsoft are also far from recouping the cost's of the 360 , RROD , Buying exclusives , 10/10 reviews , Halo 3 advertising , GTA IV DLC and the list goes on..... |
Bull. Compared to last week, both the PS3 and 360 sold 60% more hardware. BOTH had that percentage increase. That can't even be sinking in a reletive manner.
As for costs, the only real expense you listed was the RRoD, and that was deal with last year.
Halo 3 marketing? The game made about $170 million in revenue on the first day. Even if they spent a fraction of that on marketing, it wouldnt' have taken that long to recoup the costs.
As for exclusives, the biggest payout we know of was for GTA, and I would say it's likely Microsoft's cut of that revenue already covered that.
Buying review scores? Now you're just making things up. If you can't use real facts, no wonder you think you can make it look as though the 360 is sinking.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
