It dropped to an 8.5 on IMDB, might go down further as it doesn't have half the number of votes of the original trilogy yet. Still slightly above Return of the Jedi but it will probably end up between the original trilogy and the prequels.
I have no idea yet, I'm waiting for the blu-ray release. So more of a remix than a sequel, Abrams style.
One thing that annoys me from him is the excessive use of lens flares. Is TFA full of that too, or did he reserve the crappy lenses for Star Trek :)
