Finally! Someone understands!

But digital has had a big uptick this gen. Many people are only realizing this because of Halo's decline, but COD has suffered as well. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 did 9 million in the november NPD, Black Ops 3 only did 4.8 million. The sales have to be going somewhere. Obviously both franchises are seeing decline's, but a 25% attach rate seems reasonable. That would give Halo 5 a bit over 4 million by years end, still a decline, but not horrible. It could recover, and if it can do well with its legs, 7-8 million could be possible.

Since it is officially outperforming Halo 4 and that's WITHOUT digital, odds are it will outsell its predecessor...

I had a feeling that the prediction was optimistic, but I didn't realize just how optimistic it was.

It was a joke, unless they refer to this year, since I can see it reaching that number by year's end...

Halo 4 did over 7 million in its first year (2012) without digital. Halo 5 is on track to do 4 million with digital.

It's gamers were also 6 times more than they are now...
