I'm not pretending anything. I didnt get into portable gaming until much later (only cared about the Game gear before then). So i didnt closely follow this thing.

I didnt say i didnt believe you, but i wanted proof. He doesnt say it isnt the sucessor of the gameboy but he does say its the third pillar. I guess inherently it was different system. Maybe they use this method when they want to try something crazy and see if it sticks. We still have no data to know if its a home console or portable or whatever and who its aimed at.

 

Third pillar means it's not a replacement the's no other context to it so that statement no matter what was saying DS won't replace the GB.

 

Yes it does. But he didnt specifically say it isnt the sucessor of the gameboy. So, he didnt contradict himself (the third pillar was indeed a thing temporarely). My problem with the current president is he has stated that it isnt the sucessor to the Wii and Wii U. So, if its revealed it is, he is gonna have to backtrack.
