Yeah, I would say it was. No games use the extra power of the N3DS, and the older one would have probably continued selling well enough anyways. It's too bad the new one wasn't the actual 3DS. The extra joystick and eye tracker for 3D would have been nice to have.
I think both systems released too late to have a bigger boost in sales.
