I'll say 2014. They had a good E3 direct and the three days afterwards of nothing but extensive gameplay for their upcoming games at a time where everyone else was just showing dull trailers and rehearsed gameplay footage was a breath of fresh air. I remember I enjoyed it all so much that I felt a little empty after it was all over.
