WiiU +100k LOL

Is very sad to see #FE flopping this way, however it looks like it has sold half of the stock

So looks like Atlus was not expecting big sales anyway.

It's up to retailers to determine how big the first shipment will be, not the developer. Atlus could've expected 500k copies but if retailers don't order many copies, the shipment will be small. Not trying to pick on you. I've just seen this argument a few times and that's not the way it works.

OT: Great Wii U numbers! Splatoon and Mario Maker also doing really well. The rest is meh. The console market has shrunk so badly: 100k used to be the bare minimum a console had to sell during the holidays to be considere a success. Today 100k for a home console is amazing.

Oh, ok, thanks is good to know.

Sad scenario for the game, lets hope it has legs or a good performance in the west. I dont have my hopes up though, but oh well, it is a strange choice for WiiU to beggin with, I'm very interested on it though.

If I recall this is Japan specfic. Retailers often buy too much Square Enix stock, and they are not allowed to send it back. But in the west stores are generally stuffed by the companies and if they do not sell, retailers send it back sometimes.

This makes the used market different in both regions. Where some major stores still sell massive amounts of old games in Japan. While Gamestop and Wal-mart would never be seen with a gen 5 game.
