Why do people think that Nintendo could go or should go third-party?

I see a lot this argument... Sega and Nintendo are not comparable in any way. They have A LOT more fans and regarded franchises so I don't see them failing they way Sega did

Of Course Nintendo will never fail like Sega, but my point was that Sega was strongest and had best games while they had their own platform no when they become third party.
