Yes, Nintendo is in a really tough spot in 2016 for home consoles. But will it be better in 2017? The PS4 and One will have even more games out already, and will still get big new releases that year. Why choose a NX in 2017 with just a few games out against a PS4/One with hundreds of games out already? (and some of them really cheap then?) And in 2017, Sony and MS will probably be able to do another pricecut... |
So because they don't want to ate by alligators so they jump into a chumed lake full of bull sharks? The hype for a console increases when there's alot of games releasing for it, especially when some of those games are highly anticipated. If you were a dev, would you release a game when a halo or any other big game is released? 2016 could be when the PS4 peaks in sales. I bet NX will be drowned out. 2017 could be a quieter year and overall much easier to grab the attention of consumers. Does nintendo have enough good launch games? How many 3rd party devs are gonna have their game ready for it? More time would help NX have a few more games to launch with.
