You said that about this year's E3 too, and if I recall correctly, E3 2014 as well.

All true but that was before this years E3 when I realised that NX actually coming in 2016. and not in 2017. as I thought before this years E3. Now I think after they decided to launch NX next year they moved some Wii U projects to NX, I think Metroid is one of those projects and that will sell announced at E3 in 30h anniversary of Metroid.

Tanabe said in June this year that they were not working on one, and that if they started now, it would take 3 years to make, so don't expect anything soon.

Nintendo did not announce not single game for NX yet, so you cant relly except around this years E3 where WiiU and 3DS were in focus they will say, "we are working on Metroid for NX".
