PS4 is a home console, Wii-U is a home console. 3DS is a handheld, Vita is a handheld. This is why VGchartz has them seperated on the main page because they're seperate products.

It's pretty simple stuff.

3DS has sold in Japan around 2.2 this year and PS4 around 1.3 million. 3DS is saturated and declining, PS4 is growing and expanding. Next year both systems should sell very similar in Japan. There's no point doing a comparison with WiiU or Vita because is obvious which one will sell more. He is asking the question with these two systems because it will be a fight and for fun.
