Possibly, but it doesn't change fact that PS3 version is selling out more than 360 (at least in some retailers in UK). I've checked a few and all had some 360 (not many) copies while none had PS3 copies. I spoke to one store manager and he said they get a delivery each day and PS3 is gone by lunch and (mostly) 360 by end of day.
What he couldn't confirm is whether they were ordering more 360 than PS3 or whether the store was ordering the same amount of units for each.
I'm more interested to see how this impacts sales vs demand visibility. However well both 360 and PS3 sell in UK it seems likely that the sales for both will in fact be below the actual demand level due to out-of-stocks for both formats.
This could translate to a longer string of high sales week on week as each week will contain the previous weeks unfulfilled demand.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
