Theres a guy with metal health issues running around aggressively with a metal bat..... its understandable if you shoot they guy, cuz he spooked you (if hes indicateing hes going to swing at you).
this is the problem:
"the woman, Bettie Jones, 55, mother of five, who was a first-floor tenant, was shot by accident as she appeared to have been caught in the situation as she answered a shared front door for the arriving police officers"
Thats a oopsie that ll get you in trouble.
If you spook so easily you shoot someone answearing a door, chances are you shouldnt be allowed to carry a firearm.

^ this is the problem.
Everyone has firearms in the US, and they kill so many innocents (many many times more, than they protect or save).
