I personally have answered domestic calls where the complainant sees her boyfriend or husband going to jail and suddenly gets mad at ME for arresting him. Once, a guy even attacked me. I wrapped him up pretty quickly and had him handcuffed in the back of my car pretty quickly, though. No shots fired, no pepper spray, no taser--but what if he would have gotten my gun?

I don't have the details of this case and I only glanced over the OP. And yes, police make mistakes and some are bad guys. It's hard to tell people what police officers are supposed to do or are justified to do when TV and movies give them false information.

I see "shoot them in the legs" so many times on Facebook. A headshot and limb shot is not an easy thing to do. Hell, body shots are tough but it's your biggest target. Cops don't "shoot to kill". They're trained to " shoot to stop ".
