Yes everybody knows him, but not everybody actually cares about him. I mean honestly there isn't anything special or great about him compared to other Pokemon. He's just the mascot, nothing more.
And hey, it's not cool to hate on Dunsparce! xP

I'm not denying he's famous, cause well, he clearly is. I'd say probably even moreso than Mario and Link cause who still has a TV show running? :L

I can't of course, but Nintendo could if they wanted, afterall they're the ones who made Pikachu the mascot in the first place. Take a cutesy wittle Pokemon, shove it down our throats, and there you go, new mascot. They wont though since they have no need to.
