I've been saying this for a long time. PS1 and PS2 had TONS of million sellers compared to any of the consoles that have come since. Even the N64 was quite strong compared to modern consoles, despite having way less sales than the wii it has the same amount of million sellers.
I think i saw a thread that showed the NES had the most million sellers, although vgchartz always said PS1 did. I dunno probably can't find the thread anymore. The peak seems to be the PS1 gen though because if you combine the PS1/N64/Sat the software sales it dominates any other gen.
