I wasnt a fan of the wii mote but it had its place. I have moved away from my tv a though and this is why off tv play, along with handhelds and my laptop are my favorite means of playing games. The wiiu games i play the most are ones with off tv play. My limited amount of time with splatoon was purely because if that issue. So for me... As long as its got off tv mode (even if its through a seprate handheld like the vita/ps4) thats what I want from a home console.
