If the rumors are true and Nintendo is using a unified library for their next platform then I don't think they'll ever use wiimotes (or any other unique control scheme) again considering they'd need a universal control scheme that could work for both handheld and console devices. The only thing I can see Nintendo keeping is the dual screen format because they've used it for two generations and three separate platforms.
