I did acknowledge that the average price was a little higher than federal minimum wage now compared to a little more back in '39, but as even your link shows the spending power of minimum wage as a whole is better, so people on minimum wage well have over all more disposable income compared to then. Especially considering great depression and war years.

Also the average ticket price gets inflated when there are lots of 3D and Imax movies doing well. So it's not half the people are paying more and half paying less, or the most common price paid. So most people are seeing movies for less, how much I don't know but when some movies ate having 40% or more seeing it 3d or Imax I wouldn't be surprised if it got pretty close to the national average for minimum wage.
