But I doubt it would of changed the results as I don't think I could agree with more than 1 or 2 of the games that are in the top 10 and would of placed them lower.

I also am sat here scratching my head as to how both Mass Effect 2 & 3 got more votes than the original, Given the second polished up the combat. The shock of how new and good the first was along with the story and especially the ending that leads the way to set up the trilogy is what makes the original the classic. I love the series as a whole but would put the first Mass Effect as the 7th gen classic out of the series.

True, but for me personally it's another Portal/Portal 2 situation. The first game brought those pieces to the puzzle, but the second game made them fit oh so perfectly - and even brought a few more pieces IMO

There were a lot of well made games, but I swear its' like so many of them went with what RE4 introduced with Third Person Shooter mechanics and then they just added a slight twist here or there. A lot of series that never had an over the shoulder TPS mechanic before added one in, like GTA and MGS. Then there's the FPS craze with Modern Warfare and we know how that went down going on ten years later..
