I never advocated realistic graphics for Zelda. Like I said, darker graphics don't have to be photoreal. In fact, I'd say photoreal would be a bad idea. I say make it look like a HD evolution of the Twilight Princess style.

Again you doing that..

Nintendo said they were experimenting with various art styles when they were chosen art style for Zelda U, and they certainly chosen art style that looks and fits best for new Zelda and Wii U, they didnt said "realistic graphic is mainstream let's go for mainstream", no, they said lets find art style that looks and fits best for new Zelda, and thats a good thing not bad thing.

They probably experimented with more darker art style too, but didn't look good like Zelda U art style or Wii U hardware couldn't handle it

I am aware they tried it, I just don't think they made the right decision by not pursuing it. I think Aonuma lets his own graphical preferences override his business judgement. He makes the games he wants to make instead of what the market wants.

Thats point, they dont pursuit anything, they just want to make great and beautiful Zelda game, they will choose art style that fits best for any Zelda game that is in development in that point.

And I already wrote you about market, they listening what their fans telling them they want, not market that doesn't love Zelda at all.
