The reason I put TFA over ANH is because of the pacing/characters. While the story itself is very similar, I liked the pacing and characters in this movie more than in ANH. Empire and Jedi is where the cast and pacing of the originals drastically improves (in my opinion). However I wont deny that ANH is the most self contained story of the series, for obvious reasons, but still
