So you want Other M 2, which I'm fine with. But Team Ninja (creators of Ninja Gaiden series of hack n slash) made Other M, and it showed in the flashy combat but more linear approach. Now think about what Platinum is making for Wii U? Star Fox, Bayo/2, W101. See some similarities there? All take a linear approach to level progression, all are about the over the top action sequences, as well as no Platinum game seems to compliment the same atmosphere as Metroid meaning Platinum would be VERY far out of their element. I'd personally LOVE to see it, but with Metroid fans I don't think it would go over well at all.
