Uhhhh, Skies of Arcadia came out way after FF7, 8, and 9. Therefore CG cutscenes were old news by the time the game released. The lack of CG probably had more to do with the fact that the Dreamcast was such a graphical powerhouse at the time that the directors of SoA never felt the need to use CG to make the game look impressive. The in-game graphics were impressive on their own.

As for the original topic, if it's true I would definitely have to get a Wii. The thing is, as others have said, Sega has already built a great engine for SoA that's being used in Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3. The team that made Valkyria Chronicles are already intimately familiar with the PS3. Why would they just abandon all that knowledge and capital investment to make a Wii exclusive?

 Because

1 They aren't the same game.

2 If this is true then it's most likely that it being on the wii certainly is also true.

3 They could just take the engine they used for the gamecube and put it on the wii since they are both similar in architecture.
