Well you may know, in Colombia they speak the Spanish.

I've read though, that some contestants rely on the approach of pretending to really need a translator so that they get extra time thinking on their answer. Smart girls.

 

I'm from a spanish speaking country and it would be unthinkable for me to go to a big international event and not understand basic english. I honestly thought it was a non official requirement. Smart move indeed anyway.

 

I was rooting for Colombia but the speech really killed any chances she had to win. The one time I watch the event and this happens, entertainment at it's finest.
