3... Why is the resistance a separate thing from the New Republic, shouldn't the New Republic have a military that is fighting the First Order too, or did the New Republic and First Order fight to a stand still and now have tentative peace after a cease fire agreement?
4... Who are the Knights of Ren; were they other students of Luke's who fell to the Dark Side at the same time as Kylo, or were they a preexisting group of Dark Jedi or Sith who enticed Kylo to the dark side and got him to betray Luke and his fellow Jedi classmates?
5... What is the First Order exactly? Remnants of the Empire clearly. But who is Snoke, was he with the Empire all along, or is he an outsider who found the remnants of the Empire squabbling amongst themselves for power and decided to take control of them for his own uses?
6... Presumably these are things that will be expanded upon in the new canon Expanded Universe, and in Episode 8 and 9, but it would have been nice to get more background information in episode 7.

They destroyed everything about the STAR WARS Universe, regarding the meaning of the force and the Jedi, and what the main plot was about, making a mediocre action movie to enterntain masses with silly and stupid ignorant moments. We are not talking about the STAR WARS anymore. Sorry, it's how it is nowaday. Don't giveup, you'll live another day.
