Miiverse has been gradually getting worse and worse with every new update. Originally it was perfect for everyone. You went on, made a post, commented on others' posts, and uploaded screenshots for people to see. With the 2013 Thanksgiving update, Nintendo wanted to make the community "less selfish" and removed the Yeah Counter from player profiles. for many the counter served as a way of showing hoe much people enjoyed the posts you made, and while individual posts had counters, the removal of the overall Yeah Counter was unneeded and it sadly never returned.

In 2014 the biggest upset ever happened on miiverse that really set the line between "family filtered" and "censorship". People were outraged at how easy it was to be banned from using miiverse. Anything from off-topic conversations to having strong opinions were taken down and people were being banned left and right. At one point it was so bad that a Miiverse Admin got banned from using Miiverse. People found ways around it by making new accounts to keep using it, but Nintendo started making Miiverse bans worse by banning entire consoles.

Then the 2015 update rolled out. Nintendo decided that too much spam and junk threads were being posted and placed more restrictions than ever on what could be posted. all posts were separated into categories which took the fun out of seeing new content. general discussions were required to have titles, and play journals were just unappealing.

Miiverse is just a wreck now and im not sure i will ever use it again.
