the meta changes,if you are a gamer on that series and you love it, EVO players accept it and play the new one, and try to be great at. in a few years the version would be drop and those gamers wanted to know on that meta and try to be the best. i don't see it as childish.
i'm just saying all other fighting games moved on from their great previous versions.
