Melee attracts thousands of viewers and participants. Suggesting that the game should be dropped at this point is simply childish.
"What's with Melee?" The gameplay is deep, fast-paced and perfectly suited as a spectator sport. Look up tournament sets of all different Smash games on youtube and you will see the vast differences in how the games are played. Melee is more offensive, Brawl is more defensive and Smash 4 is somewhere between the two, depending on matchups and other factors. The games may be part of the same series but their many differences and different top players justify including more than one game per tournament.
