With these numbers in mind it is quite clear that Melee remains the favorite in the competitive scene. Any other claim is just wishful thinking. |
No offence mate but he's right Smash 4 for many tournaments this year has had a bigger presence, these tournaments include the likes of NEC last week, Norcal Regionals, Canada Cup and even Evo which are all huge tournaments as far as competitive fighting goes. Melee is bigger then before but it's no longer the go to game and mind you this is only the first year for Smash 4 and it beat out Melee in the biggest tournament of the year Evo, that number alone actually proves his point in a way.
