In US English, the only spoken pronounciation is "nitch". You can look it up online and click to hear it if you want. I don't know about the rest of the English speaking world though. It may be different.

That's your problem right there. US english is an oxymoron.

If our version of English is an oxymoron, than what is yours? You guys say "Nike" like "nighK" and Adidas like "add-a-dass". lol

We pronounce Nike based on other English words (bike, like, spike etc), but yes it should be ny-ki

Pretty sure we pronounce Adidas correctly (exactly as it is spelt)... I have heard people pronounce it with an elongated e sound instead of short i (adeedass) but I thought that was a US pronunciation. I have never heard anyone say addadass.

My ex-wife is Australian and she, along with all of her friends and every other Aussie I've known didn't know how to say Adidas. It's pronounced "uh-dee-dis".

Personally, like I said earlier in the thread, I don't care how people talk. Inncorrectly, correctly... whatever. Language is an ever evolving, ever changing thing and besides, life is way too rough on people when they care about things that are so frivolous. I'll comment on it for a laugh or just general discussion but I no longer get angry or passionate about it.
