That's not true.  2013 was it's peak year 2013>2015>2014. So it's not gone up every year.  

 

What has happened is splatoon gave it a lifeline and allowed it to beat the abysmal 2014. You're statement not true. 

And be very close to its peak year sales, of 2013! Say it all Onekart e.t.c

Also super mario maker has contributed too in that situation...
