When a new IP is acknowledged as the most awarded game in the history of gaming when releasing the same year that so many famous and proven franchises like BioShock, Tomb Raider, Assassin Creed, Devil May Cry, Super Mario World, Call of Duty, Metro, Batman:Arkham and Grand Theft Auto... Then you have to give that game credit.
2013 was a great year for gaming, But The Last of Us stole the year.
Regarding the actual question: Is The Last of Us a timeless classic? I will say that in my book, The Last of Us is a game that I will never forget and I recommend everyone to play it, even if you are not a gamer.
