Software sells hardware, but if you have only good software and almost everything else is done bad (terrible name and bad marketing, bad time of launch, bad launch titles, high price, almost useless gamepad, software droughts..) software can't sell hardware, and Nintendo made so many mistakes with Wii U.

Wii success is also happens when you ignore gaming mainstream, you already forget that!?

I didn't forget anything; the Wii did have the mainstream. Back then, the casuals were the mainstream. That is no longer the case. The market has changed, and until Nintendo learns to change with it, they will continue to have poor sales.

Wrong, back then there was not casuals at all, you did not had casualss on PS2/Xbox/GC, Nintendo attracted casuals players to gaming with Wii, basically they made gaming casuals and changed gaming market, so they ignored gaming mainstream and made new mainstream that gen. But market change again, those casuals went to mobile gaming or to PS/Xbox platforms because Wii last too long and Nintendo made terrible mistakes with Wii U.

Mainstream means the popular majority. In the 7th gen, casual were the majority, therefore they were mainstream.

If Wii U had mainstream appeal, it wouldn't be at 11 million units sold after 3 years, simple as that.
