Best Zelda game to start with Zelda franchise for people that didnt play any Zelda

I can see through your sinister plan.... and the adorable signiture. You loathe everyone who hasn't played a Zelda game before, don't you? So introducing them to the CD-i games is the easiest way to make them leave your life once and for all.
