Not only do you have more power to work with (to make a better game), the audience on both platforms heavily supports third party making the risk worth it. 3) they themselves stated in an interview that the game was funded mostly by pc gamers. This was actually after the Wii u cancellation to remind people that their main platform concern has always been pc, not PS3/Xbox 360/wii u. at the end of the day, they are a business.
