Yes they did. w/e 21 Nov PS4 LTD is now 29.89M that's only 311K under the Sony announcement, which if that's what VGC originally had for PS4's LTD when Sony announced everyone would have said "good job VGC." VGC doesn't need to have a number exactly the same as Sony's, after all, Sony's number is also an estimate, just a far more accurate estimate. So being within 1% of Sony's estimate is absolutely fine.

What the flock? They bumped PS4 down globally by 6K? 

Well I guess 6K is just background noise when it comes to the effect on LTD, but still, having a long history of consistnely underestimating PS4 sales one might think  ioi would think twice about dropping PS4 numbers down in the absence of any official (Sony or NPD) sales information. Still, if there is a week where PS4 would get bumped down a bit it would be the week before NDC and SWBF go on sale down to $299. It could be that ioi factored in that sale announcement as causing a slight softening of the PS4 market for that week.
