Well, when the OP don't give his opinion on it, it can be understood as WiiU games in general could pass as PS4 games.
If we are talking about indies, when you have games that look like Snes games on PS4 any WiiU Indie could look exacly the same on PS4 and WiiU. So We would need even more information to judge.
HollyGamer said:
yeah agree with that, but the OP is discussing about pushing Wii U limits. |
Not only about that. When he put it pretty much in the OP that WiiU games could pass as PS4, that opens the door.
| bunchanumbers said: What the developers drag out of the Wii U is astonishing. Especially when you consider its using a fraction of the power of the ps3, ps4, Xbox, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One. Wii U might be the most well balanced power/power usage console in gaming history. That is what you guys really need to wrap your head around. |
Errrrr no. You may put the most relevant part for you on a console is the raw power/watts. I and possible most doesn't put watts consumption above raw power. If it costs the same to make a 1.5 Tflop console consuming 100W and 200Gflop consuming 10W I would choose the first 10 times in a row. Nothing against saving and reducing cost and consumption, but when it comes to a choice betewen one or other for a console I choose the first.

Some people just feel threated, have buyers remorse, are shadenfreuds, need superiority affirmation or simply loyalty reassurance to validate their allegience to something successful. Their selfdom is too frangible to resist a moment of status consolation. |
Could you please show where and from whom you are seing it? And which status of consolation are you talking about?

That is both self-evident and at the same time entirely irrelevant to the OP's point. The point was, obviously, that as the title of the thread states, developers are pushing Wii U hardware. It's a discussion of Wii U hardware and graphics. Not a comparison to other hardware. |
If you read the OP and not only the title you would note that he talked about WiiU games looking like PS4.

Jaggies in MK8 doesn't look really that bad when you see game in motion in comparison with those screen shots. MK8 looks beautiful in motion even with jaggies, everytime when I playing MK8 after longer break I say to my self how beautiful game looks. |
Curiously enough you didn't complained about the point of Driveclub being almost bad looking because of minor problems in consistancy.

Well I guess people with better set of eyes are enjoying the transition and the differences. But if you were satisfied staying on a previous gen or chosing a less powerfull platform there is no problem. But don't try to pass your experience as absolute truth.
KungKras said:
I just don't see it. Graphics became good enough last gen IMO. Now all graphical upgrades do is make shapes a little softer and things a little shinier here and there. |
Your opinion, I respect, but it seems that for a lot of people the difference was good enough to upgrade.
