| garretslarrity said: Alright, everyone. No Wii U game is as technically impressive as a AAA PS4 game. The hardware just makes that next to impossible. But that's not the point of this thread. The point is to discuss the impressive optimization efforts of Nintendo. The fact that we could even have this discussion with such a difference between the hardware displays just how impressive Nintendo's optimization skills are. It makes me wish even more that they had made the Wii U more powerful, and that we could have seen just what they were truly capable of. |
I agree with you, but I think why everyone is harping on the comparison is because the OP made it. When you say something along the lines of the Wii U's graphics looking as good as PS4 with some minor improvements, then be prepared to be flamed. I, myself, think the games look almost as good as PS4 games, but for the aesthetic flair and artistry, not because of Wii U's power. Which seems to be what the OP is saying because the entire argument was originally hinging on the fact that the Wii U's power is being fully utilized, because the developers are using it to its limits.
If these games look anywhere close to PS4s in terms of visuals, it's because of the art moreso than the tech. Get a really nice game on PS4 that marries it's tech and art well like Bloodborne or Infamous, and this comparison that the OP made becomes irrelevant.
