Funny you mention grinding is a way to make games longer. You're right. But you can abuse the grinding system to beat the game faster. In Pokemon, if you grind to level 15/20 at the very start of the game. Which X/Y has made that extremely easy now. You can clear the entire game with one Pokemon, in two days.

Yeah but you'd better REALLY love battling or else you risk getting sick of the game on day one lol. It's happened to me before.
