Xbox boss wouldn't mind seeing Nintendo games on Xbox One

Well, no shit, sherlock! Nintendo and Microsoft don't have too good relations though. I doubt it'll ever happen, even if Nintendo gives up hardware. Ok, they ain't too close with Sony, either... Maybe they'll just do something with Apple and screw both Microsoft and Sony! Hell if I know. Let's just hope NX will be successful so we won't have to think about such scenarios.

There were talks, but what really broke the deal was when Microsoft would have required Nintendo to stop making hardware and their software would only have appeared on a Microsoft console. Or maybe Nintendo never intended to make a deal but were just being cordial with Microsoft during their meetings. This happened before the original Xbox came out.

An American company cannot buy a Japanese one i believe.
