Not unlike Nintendo to do this. As cream147 stated this is one area that has always bothered me about Nintendo is there unwillingness to lower prices. They did this even with the Wii and Wii games when they were top in sales last generation.
As others have pointed out, it looks like NX is right around the corner so perhaps they are just treading water.
At lease Xenoblade Chronicles X will likely keep me busy on my Wii U until NX releases and I see if it is worth the purchase.
My PC and Xbox One get most of my time regardless.
