Am I alone on the thought that PC gamers should be thankful that consoles exist so many many games wouldn't even exist without the console market to back the industry up? I mean, with the high piracy rates still existing and the fact that a good portion always wait for a sale to get their games, PC gaming alone couldn't afford the huge expensive AAA games of today's standards. Without consoles, those standards would be very low.

I feel you are right in that you are alone on such a thought because without PC's at all we wouldn't even have games, let alone the advancements PC gaming brough along with it and still does to this day, the titles that also stem from the platform that wouldn't exist without PC gamers and PC centric devs. I feel we should all be thankful for a platform that creates and gives us games than a brand.

Who's saying anything about owning PC's? Anyone can own a potent PC these days and don't even play games. I'm talking bout making games for consumers. If there's no profit in it, due to piracy or the price asked for a game is considered high by PC gamers, then games wouldn't be the way we know them. Im not trying to say PC is weaker than consoles, from a business standpoint it surely is far more riskier though. Oh and no shitt devs make games on pcs, really thanks for the input, i surely didn't know that.

I understand what you mean.
if i am not mistaken didnt battlefront sell like 4% on pc and 96% on consoles?
The console's ARE the biggest software industry for videogames publishers earn the MOST money on a console.
Ofcourse its not always 100% but mostly hell yea.
