A lack of coverage does not build hype, it defuses hype.

And no offense, but I believe it is you who are incorrectly assuming your own views are shared by the majority. Me, I am hyped for the game. I am a hardcore Nintendo fan. But I also recognize that I am in the minority and that the average mainstream gamer in 2016 doesn't care about Zelda U. Don't make the mistake of thinking that because you are hyped, everyone else is.

Well you're going to have to show me that those who are hyped for Zelda are in the minority because so far each mainline Zelda has done fine we can even have a bet if you like on it that the new game will do just as well as any previous game or even better. A lack of coverage didn't hurt TP or games like Fallout 4.

Look at the gaming media. None of the major outlets are talking about Zelda U, because there's nothing new to talk about. Look at gaming forums. It's getting nowhere near as much discussion as games like Uncharted 4.

The only people talking about it are hardcore Nintendo fans, and the Wii U's sales prove that this is a shrinking fanbase.
