“We didn’t make any change because of external influences” - I think this is exactly why they made the change. It's been happening in games lately, like in Fatal Frame 5, Xenoblade X, and DoA Volleyball 3.
I think their heart is in the right place though when they want this game to be as accessible as it can be, although a little booty slap I don't think is all that bad... Heck, her outfit showing her but like that probably is even worse, haha.
