360 had strong support because it had a superior pad (especially the sticks), which is also why it had Cave shmups.

Now that MS edge in controller quality as lowered, japanese fighting games/shmup developpers have much less incentive to bet on Xbox, especially given Xbox One's reception in Japan.

Uhmmm........ The 360 had a crappy DPad which are critical to fighting games. Have no idea where you got that from
