Maybe giving a copy with the machines would be neat but making it exclusive to those machines/OS is a sure fine way to greatly piss off the fanbase.

Of course, making it exclusive would be deadly. But including the game with the system might be the way to convince those undecided.

Not exclusive to the Steam Machines, it would be avalible on all devices that have Steam. But if you buy the SteamBox, you get a free copy of the game, as an incentive to get the hardware.
