Miyamotoo said: Why almost every 3D Zelda was delayed!? |
Ocarina of Time: transition to 3D and there were expansions (Zelda Gaiden and Zelda Ura) developed alongside, they needed to throw away to complete OoT
Majora's Mask: reused assests and taked Zelda Gaiden, game was complete after 2 years of OoT launch
The Wind Waker: delayed 3 months in the west for localization. The Wind Waker was released in holiday 2002 in Japan, 2 years after Majora's Mask. The game is more rushed than delayed as the content was cut, like a couple of dungeons and big islands.
Twilight Princess: completed after 3 years, in line with the intended holiday 2005 launch date. Delayed a full year for the Wii version. Game has development problems.
Skyward Sword: game had a different artstyle and based on the Wii Remote. Deep in development changed for the implementation of the motion plus and the need of a different artstyle. All of that was done in a year. Released 5 years after Twilight Princess.
Zelda HD: ??? According to Aonuma because they found new possibilities.
So, what does this have to do with the OP?
