They will launch NX in 2016 for sure. If you look at the game awards nominees, you will notice how irrelevant Nintendo became to the overall gaming industry. They have to change that asap or they can shut down operation.

Splatoon beat games like Halo, Battlefront, Call of Duty, Destiny for best shooter & best multiplayer.

Mario Maker won best family game and was nominates for game of the year.

Nintendo was nominated for developer of the year.

That's pretty good for a company irrelevant to the gaming industry.

A Nintendo game won "best family game"? Get out of town! It was literally between the trio of Infinity, Dimensions, and Skylanders or "cheaply made collectible figures + a new cheaply made game every year to keep you buying the figures" games , Splatoon, and Mario Maker. If Mario Maker didn't win, Splatoon would have. No one else even actually tries to compete in this space. Nintendo won this last year with Mario Kart 8, followed by Tomodachi life, and last year's verison of the same Trio. Nintendo wins this by default.

So they won best shooter this year? They also won best fighting game and best racing/sports game last year. Does anyone actually believe that Nintendo makes the best shooters, fighters, and racing games in the world? I'd seriously doubt that. As for best multiplayer - play Rocket League. That's all I really have to say.

Other nominees for developer of the year: Bethesda, Kojima Productions. Both of which put out a single game that lacked polish. Not quite sure how this is supposed to be a huge honour. Nintendo also won this award last year, beating Blizzard, Monolith, Telltale and Ubsoft Montreal (the guys who made Assassin's Creed: Unity).

This awards show seems like a bit of a joke.

Regardless of anything u said, the poster I replied to was using the Game Awards as proof that Nintendo is irrelevant, winning 3 awards and being nominated for 5 including game of the year and developer of the year proves that he is either wrong or that the Game Awards aren't an accurate way to determine relevancy.
