Yeah, up until this gen, strongest hardware hasn't been much of a deciding factor. It just had to be capable enough to provide a comparable experience to that generation's standard.  I like your idea of multiple models but his would that effect online play? (I don't know much about Steambox)

It would just become the same as pc.
